§ 17-51. Physical examination subsequent to issuance of permits; effect of refusal to take or failure of exam.

  • The holder of a driver's permit shall, during each month of December and each month of June after the issuance of a driver's permit to him, submit to the examination prescribed by section 17-48, and the examination shall be conducted and reported to the chief of police in the same manner as is prescribed in said section. Upon the failure of the holder of a driver's permit to submit to an examination as herein prescribed, or if upon such examination he shall be found physically unfit to operate a motor vehicle upon the public streets of the city, the driver's permit heretofore issued to such person shall be suspended or revoked by the city council.
