§ 17-50. Issuance, contents of permits.

  • It shall be the duty of the chief of police, if the applicant for a driver's permit be a person of good moral character and fitness and possesses sufficient knowledge of the provisions of this chapter and of the traffic laws of the city, when the applicant has complied with the provisions of this article, to issue to such person a written driver's permit, which permit shall be signed by the chief of police of the city and shall be attested by the city clerk and sealed with the corporate seal of the city, and shall bear the name, address, sex, color, age, signature, recent profile and full face photograph and fingerprints of the applicant.
