Before the erection, construction, alteration or major repairs of any structure, or
any part thereof, described in section 5-278, there shall first be submitted to the city building department an application in
such form as may be prescribed by the city manager, or his designee, together with
detailed specifications and plans for such structure, together with plot plan showing
the location of such contemplated structure or alteration in conjunction with adjoining
lands, waters and channels, and such other plans and structural drawings as may be
reasonably required by the city manager.
The application shall show the full name, residence and business address of the owner,
the address or location of the premises upon which the structure is to be erected,
repaired or removed, the cost of the proposed work and the address of the contractor
or other person authorized by the owner to perform the contemplated work.
