§ 5-101. Electrical permit and inspection fees.

(a)

Minimum permit fees shall be:

Residential\$30.00

Non-residential\60.00

(b)

Fees for the installation of all new electrical services and increases to existing electrical services for residences and commercial buildings shall be figured on the ampere increase in service:

Single-phase service, fee per amp\$0.60

Three-phase up to 240 volt, fee per amp\1.00

Three-phase over 240 volt, fee per amp\1.50

(c)

For alterations and/or rewiring of existing systems the fee shall be:

Per circuit (up to ten (10) circuits)\$6.00

Each additional circuit\3.00

(d)

Other fees:

Swimming pools:

Residential\$75.00

Commercial\200.00

Temporary power poles\50.00

Pre power residential\50.00

Pre power commercial\100.00

Low voltage alarm systems:

Up to $5,000.00\30.00

Each additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof\5.00

(e)

Plan review fees. All plan review fees shall be the responsibility of the applicant for plans contracted out for review. These fees are required to be paid prior to plan review.

(f)

Any person who commences work without having first obtained a proper permit will be assessed a double permit fee penalty upon application for the permit.

(g)

Each applicant for an electrical permit shall pay a placard fee of three dollars ($3.00), in addition to the applicable fee from the schedule of fees.

(h)

Reinspection fees, which must be paid prior to reinspection:

First reinspection\$30.00

Second reinspection (same violation)\40.00

Third or subsequent reinspection (same violation)\50.00

Inspection at owner's request, which must be paid at the time of the request:
