§ 5-100. Who may do work.
Latest version.
It shall be unlawful for any person not a licensed electrician as defined in this article to do any electrical construction or make repairs, alterations, additions or changes to any existing system of electrical wiring or equipment within the city. However, a property owner may personally install or repair the electrical wiring and equipment in his own residence with the understanding that the work must comply with the provisions of this article and pass the inspection of the city electrical inspector.
