§ 4-21. Dangerous dogs.

In the event an animal control officer or law enforcement officer believes that F.S. ch. 767 (dangerous dogs), as amended, is applicable, the rules and procedures set forth in F.S. ch. 767, as amended, shall apply and not the rules set forth in this article. Hearings, if requested by the owner pursuant to F.S. § 767.12, as amended, to determine whether a dog should be classified as dangerous shall be presented before and heard by the city's special master. The city hereby adopts the hearing and appeal procedure outlined in F.S. § 767.12, as amended.
