§ 20-53. Connection required for new construction.

  • The owner, tenant or occupant of each lot or parcel of land within the city which abuts upon a street or other public way containing a sanitary sewer served or which may be served by the sewer system of the city, or if sanitary sewer service is available within one hundred (100) feet of any part of the lot, and upon which lot or parcel a building shall be constructed for residence, commercial or industrial use, shall, at the owner's expense, within thirty (30) days after the construction of such building, and before occupancy of same, connect such building with such sanitary sewer.
