§ 20-37. Rates for fire protection.

  • Rates for fire protection systems shall be for a one-inch meter at the 5/8 to ¾ rate when installed in conjunction with a building permit. The rate applies to water service when used for sprinkling systems and other fire protection systems in buildings only, and the expense of all connections to an extension from the water mains is borne by the user. The account holder will be required to pay the cost differential between a 5/8 —¾ meter and a one-inch meter with the installation. No taps will be allowed which may be used for other than fire protection purposes, and there shall be no connection with any other source of water except in case a tank or fire pump is installed as a secondary supply for such fire protection purposes.
