§ 20-36. Meter testing.

(a)

Location of testing. In the event a customer requests a water meter to be tested, there will be no charge if the meter is field-tested by city personnel at the meter location.

If the customer requests the meter be tested at the shop and the meter proves to be accurate, a twenty-five-dollar service fee will be charged. If the meter proves to be inaccurate, there will be no charge to the customer.

(b)

Disputed readings. The city will re-read any meter at the customer's request one (1) time each month at no charge. In the event the customer requests more than one (1) re-read in one (1) month, there will be a ten dollar ($10.00) charge for each additional trip made to the property.
