§ 6.04. Form of ballots.

(a)

Election of mayor and councilmembers. The office of mayor shall appear first on the ballot. Council districts shall appear in numerical order. Candidates for each office shall appear in alphabetical order by surname.

(b)

Proposed charter amendments. A proposed charter amendment shall be presented for voting by ballot title. The ballot title of a proposed amendment may differ from its legal title and shall be a clear, concise statement describing the substance of the proposed amendment without argument or prejudice.

(c)

The city council by ordinance may prescribe additional rules relating to the form of the ballot.
