§ 5.06. Compensation.

Members of the council shall receive for their services such salaries or other compensation and shall receive such expense allowances as may be prescribed from time to time by ordinance. No ordinances increasing salaries or other compensation or expense allowances of members shall become effective until the date of commencement of the terms of the councilmembers elected at the next regular election following adoption of the ordinance.
