§ 7-17. Fee imposed for collection service.

Latest version.
  • The city council shall from time to time amend a schedule of fees to be paid by the city solid waste customers for services rendered in the collection and disposal of refuse and recovered materials, for rental of containers, and for the availability of service for the collection and disposal of refuse (hereinafter collectively "service fees"). These service fees are separate and apart from the special service charges that a customer may be required to pay directly to the city refuse contractor for special pickups or other services where provided by this article or the refuse contract. A schedule of current service fees will be maintained in the city clerk's office.

Owners or occupants of property within the city who transport and dispose of their own refuse will not be relieved from the obligations to pay the service fees established.

The city will bill for solid waste services on a monthly basis unless the city agrees to a different billing cycle.
