§ 6-23. False alarms—Finding of fact.

  • The city council makes the following findings of fact:

    (1)

    Malfunctions of alarm systems are causing substantial misuse of manpower and resources of the fire department of the city by provoking responses to numerous false alarms.

    (2)

    Said false alarms could cause undo injury or damage to fire department personnel or vehicles responding to/from false alarm calls.

    (3)

    Such false alarms and use of such alarm devices create a threat or potential threat to the health, safety, and welfare of the people of the city.
