§ 5-5. Time limitations on applications, plans, specifications and building permits.
Latest version.
All approvals of construction applications, plans, specification, and permits shall
be valid for a period not to exceed twelve (12) consecutive months following the date
of approval or issuance. Failure to obtain final inspection approval for the project
before the building permit expires shall be considered a violation of the city's Code
of Ordinances. The property owner(s) shall be cited to appear before the code enforcement
board. If the code enforcement board gives the property owner additional time to obtain
final inspection approval, the city shall issue a building permit for that period
of time.
