§ 4-7. Fees for reclaiming impoundable animals.

  • Any owner or agent reclaiming an impounded animal shall be required to pay the following retrieval fee:

    (1)

    For animals impounded by the city, but not yet transported to the humane society:

    First retrieval: Twenty dollars ($20.00).

    Second retrieval (within a twelve-month period): Thirty dollars ($30.00).

    Third and subsequent retrieval (within a twelve-month period): Fifty dollars ($50.00) each.

    (2)

    For animals impounded by the city, the county, the humane society, or any other agency, which have been transported to the humane society and in addition to any other fees and charges established by the humane society, the owner or agent shall be required to pay any fee charged to the city by the humane society for care or treatment of said owner or agent's animal.
