§ 4-5. Authority to impound.

The city animal control officer shall have full and complete authority to pick up, catch or procure any animal roaming at large, creating a public nuisance; or infected with rabies, or believed to be infected with rabies, or infected with any other contagious or infectious disease, or believed to be so infected; or otherwise violating any of the animal laws of the city in any area of the city and cause such animal to be impounded in a suitable establishment, which may be, but is not limited to, the nearest humane society shelter.
