§ 2-213. Degree of formality required.

  • Council meetings shall be conducted only with such formality as is required to maintain order and to expedite the transaction of business. The underlying purpose for adoption of these rules is to provide procedures which may be invoked when deemed necessary by the presiding officer or by a majority of council members in attendance. No action taken by the council shall be considered irregular or invalid solely because such action may have been taken without adherence to these rules.
