§ 2-16. Policy.

It is the policy of the City of South Daytona (city) that all public records as that terms is defined in state law and by judicial opinions, subject to the statutory exemption, shall be open for inspection by any person subject to the terms and conditions as hereinafter setforth. The purpose of this policy is to affirm the public's right to access public records of the city, to set forth the procedures that will facilitate accessibility of information to members of the public, and to establish fees to be levied by the city to cover the cost of responding to public records requests.
