§ 20-170. Charges.

Latest version.
  • The costs and charges for reclaimed water are divided into three (3) categories:

    (1)

Impact fees. Impact fees are those costs associated with providing trunk and distribution mains to the point of delivery, up to but not including the connection. An impact fee of three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) will be charged per connection.

    (2)

Connection fees. Connection fees are those costs directly associated with connecting the customer's premises to the reclaimed water distribution system. Connection will require an inspection of the property and facilities as defined in the city's reclaimed water policies and regulations. A connection fee of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) will be charged per connection. This fee will include the costs to have the city install a control valve, and service box to the reclaimed water service line.

    (3)

Operation and maintenance costs. Operation and maintenance costs are the reclaimed water system's ongoing costs for labor, materials, electricity, and other expenses of the system. Charges for these ongoing costs will be made as a flat rate of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per month for unlimited service during the customer's designated time frame outlined in section 20-173. The property owner or customer will be billed for operation and maintenance costs even if no reuse water is actually used during the month.
