§ 20-33. Connection fees.

(a)

The following fees shall be charged for connection to the city's water system for water entering the sewer system. (Consumption charges as noted in section 20-32 are also applicable):

(b)

The following additional fees shall be charged and paid, in addition to the applicable connection fees specified above, for the following connections:

(1)

For all single-family dwellings, an additional connection fee shall not be required.

(2)

For all multifamily units, including condominiums and apartments, the additional connection fee shall be one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per unit.

(3)

For all motel and hotel sleeping units provided with bathroom facilities, the additional connection fee shall be one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00) per unit; and if such unit has kitchen facilities, the additional fee shall be one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per unit, rather than one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00).

(4)

For all other types of occupancies which are not covered in subsections (1) through (3) above, the additional fee shall be thirty-six dollars ($36.00) per fixture unit as used in the standard plumbing code as adopted and amended by the city.

(c)

All connection fees required herein shall be paid at the time of and as a condition precedent to issuance of the building permit.
