In order to meet the purpose and intent as stated in section 1-14, the city council has identified and is adopting the following goals for the City of South Daytona:

Upgraded public police/fire/life support services

Cooperation
Interlocal—Improved cooperation between governmental agencies, all levels

Local—Improved city-citizen cooperation

Regulatory Management
New building construction and renovation in compliance with applicable codes.
