§ 17-54. Permit to be displayed; displaying permit other than driver's.

Every driver of a taxicab operated in the city shall have his driver's permit displayed in such taxicab in a conspicuous place so as to be observed easily by each passenger in such taxicab. There shall not be displayed in any taxicab any driver's permit other than the one for the driver of such taxicab, nor shall there be displayed in any taxicab anything which may easily be confused with such driver's permit.
