§ 17-11. Pick up and discharge of passengers generally.

Taxis may discharge passengers at any place in the public streets of the city where it would be lawful for a private automobile to stop, but taxis shall not pick up passengers at any place in the public streets of the city except at the near corner of a street intersection, on the right-hand side of the street on which the taxicab is situated, unless such taxicab has been summoned to pick up a particular passenger at some particular place.
