§ 13-39. Definitions.
For purposes of this article:
False alarm means activation of an alarm system by any means other than a burglary, attempted burglary, robbery, attempted robbery, or fire. False alarms include, but are not limited to, equipment failure and human error.
First response means a response to a false alarm to premises at which no other false alarm has occurred within the preceding six (6) month period.
Telephone alarm device means any service which, when activated, automatically transmits by telephone line a recorded alarm message or electronic or mechanical alarm signal to any telephone instrument installed in any facility of the city police department.
