§ 10-37. Outdoor lighting.

  • Outdoor lighting, provided as accessory to any use, or to illuminate any parking area, sign, yard or similar area or device, shall be located, directed or shielded, so as not to shine directly on, or to result in glare on adjacent properties, or to create a potential traffic hazard on adjacent streets as a result of glare or similarity to, or confusion with traffic signals, warning lights or lighting on emergency vehicles. The exterior of a building, structure or portion thereof shall not be illuminated by outlining such with lights, except for purposes of temporary seasonal decoration or illumination of display windows of permitted businesses.
