§ 10-27. Same—Inspection of records and premises.

  • (a)

    The premises and required records of each secondhand dealer shall be inspected during regular business hours at least once every month by the chief of police of the City of South Daytona or his designee, and for that purpose each secondhand dealer shall make such records available at reasonable times and upon reasonable notification. Failure to do so shall constitute a violation of the Code of Ordinances of the city.

    (b)

    The examination set forth in subsection (a) above shall include an examination of the stock (inventory) and required records to determine that the records are being maintained as required by ordinance and that the holding periods required by sections 10-24 and 10-25 are being complied with.
